Enterprise Center is the home of the St. Louis Blues (NHL), located at 1401 Clark Avenue in Downtown West St. Louis. The arena opened on October 8, 1994 as the Kiel Center β on the site of the former Kiel Auditorium β at a cost of $135 million, funded by a combination of public bonds and private investment from local corporate partners. Since its opening, the building has carried four names: Kiel Center (1994β2000), Savvis Center (2000β2006), Scottrade Center (2006β2018), and Enterprise Center since July 2018, when naming rights were sold to Enterprise Holdings. It seats 18,096 for St. Louis Blues hockey and can accommodate up to 22,000 for concerts and basketball. The arena achieved its greatest moment on June 12, 2019, when the St. Louis Blues clinched their first-ever Stanley Cup Championship on home ice, defeating the Boston Bruins in Game 6. The victory was the culmination of one of sport's great comeback stories: on January 3, 2019, the Blues were in last place in the entire NHL. DJ Laura Steele began playing Laura Branigan's 1982 song "Gloria" at Enterprise Center and the team went unbeaten in every game it played thereafter, riding the unlikely anthem all the way to the Cup. The championship banner now hangs alongside the Stanley Cup Finals appearances of the Blues' first three seasons (1968, 1969, 1970). Enterprise Center also hosted the 2020 NHL All-Star Game, the 2003 and 2023 NHL Entry Drafts, and the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals (Games 3, 4, and 6). The arena underwent a comprehensive three-phase renovation from 2017 to 2019, completed entirely during hockey off-seasons. Phase 1 introduced new lighting, sound, HVAC, ice plant, Wi-Fi, locker rooms, a new centre-ice scoreboard, and west-end theater boxes. Phase 2 replaced all upper-tier seats, added east-end theater boxes, rebuilt the lower concourse with new club areas, and opened the Anheuser-Busch Beer Garden with its live performance stage. Phase 3 replaced lower-tier seats and renovated all private boxes. Additional upgrades for 2025-26 included the STL Kitchen gastropub stand and a Crumbl Cookies arena-exclusive outpost. Enterprise Center's food and beverage programme celebrates St. Louis culture: Sugarfire Smoke House BBQ, toasted ravioli, St. Louis-style pizza, the AB Beer Garden (with live band performances), and Brews of the Lou for craft beer. The MetroLink Civic Center station (Red and Blue Lines) sits steps from the arena β the fastest and most affordable transit option, connecting Enterprise Center to Lambert Airport in 35β40 minutes. The arena is in Downtown West, within walking distance of the Stifel Theatre, Union Station, and CityPark (home of St. Louis City SC), with Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village one MetroLink stop east.
