Allianz Stadium Twickenham stands as the spiritual home of rugby union, the world's largest dedicated rugby stadium with an iconic capacity of 82,000 spectators. Originally known as Twickenham Stadium since its opening in 1909, this legendary venue was renamed in 2024 following a significant sponsorship agreement with Allianz. Built on land that was once a cabbage market garden - earning it the affectionate nickname 'The Home of Rugby' and 'The Cabbage Patch' - the stadium has witnessed over a century of rugby's greatest moments. The venue serves as the headquarters of the Rugby Football Union and hosts England's home international matches, the Rugby World Cup Final, the Gallagher Premiership Final, and the iconic Guinness Six Nations Championship. The stadium's distinctive architecture features four impressive stands creating an amphitheatre effect that generates an unmatched atmosphere, particularly during major international fixtures. Recent renovations have enhanced the venue with state-of-the-art facilities including the integrated Radisson RED hotel, modern hospitality suites, the World Rugby Museum, advanced accessibility features, and premium dining options. The stadium's commitment to sustainability includes a zero waste to landfill policy and predominantly British-sourced cuisine. With its rich heritage, world-class facilities, and position at the heart of international rugby, Allianz Stadium Twickenham represents the pinnacle of rugby venues and continues to be the stage where rugby history is made.
